Not a dry seat in the house homecoming Fort Campbell, KY || the Bayles

family, life, lifestyle, military, Uncategorized

I say it over and over again, I adore homecomings! There is nothing more special than watching a family be united after months away and I always feel so honored to be included in the moment, especially for my Screaming Eagle families with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).

The Bayles family was no exception! Haleigh and Karter waited anxiously for their Soldier to come home, even getting soaked in the process. Her Fort Campbell, KY homecoming goes down as the wetest homecoming I have ever shot, including in my military career. It drizzled off and on until the Soldiers deboarded the plane and then it just opened up and poured! But not even a little rain could dampen Haleigh and Karter’s spirits as they waited for their Soldier to walk through the doors. I don’t think I’ve seen a little boy as excited as Karter was to be reunited with his Daddy! He literally almost got up and ran to his Dad, still strapped into the stroller. Watching his excitement in their fusion video still brings tears to my eyes. Make sure you pay attention to Karter’s million and one facial expressions. He was so adorable! Every time I snapped a photo he would give me different looks. Haleigh and I could not stop giggling about it. Thank you so much Bayles family for letting me capture this day for you and welcome home Sgt. Bayles!!
