I love when military clients book an Old Glory session for their horse! There is something so classic about combining the beauty of the horse and our American flag. And in my opinion, it’s the perfect way to honor someone’s military service who also is an equestrian. Jennifer booked Preston’s Old Glory session earlier in the year, but of course life happens, so it was a few months before we got to schedule her photos at Bacon Family Farm in Cedar Hill, TN.
She asked if her son, who is autistic, could be a part of a few photos and of course that’s not an issue! See Preston is her son’s therapy horse, and her husband had just retired from Fort Campbell, KY earlier that month, so it was the perfect opportunity to highlight all those details! Preston was the perfect gentleman for his entire photoshoot, even falling asleep at one point.
Black background sessions are 30 minutes long and typically include 5-7 hand edited images. A barn aisle, indoor arena or shaded area are all that is needed for these types of equine shoots, so don’t let the fear of not having ‘good enough’ facilities stop you! I travel throughout the middle Tennessee region and am located directly in Clarksville, TN. Black background sessions are offered at a discounted rate when multiple sessions are booked, making these a great option for barn photos.
